 The Chocolate Dapple turkey is on a heterozygous black/bronze base, heterozygous for gray/white and homozygous for brown and narragansett genes.

Due to their genetic makeup they do not breed true, besides chocolate dapple they also produce marbled chocolates, Oregon brown, Dark brown and whites .

Another version of this is a mottled chocolate dapple which is on a heterozygous black/black winged bronze base, heterozygous for gray/white and homozygous for brown and narragansett. This type will produce: Mottled Chocolate Dapple, Chocolate Dapple, Marbled Chocolate, Mottled Chocolate, Chocolate Palm and White.
