This is a variety that we developed and named. Their genotype is (b'b' cgcg Rr) Homozygous for a black winged bronze base as well as gray, then heterozygous for red.
The fall fire has more of a reddish coloration than the sweetgrass variety. For comparison there is a sweetgrass in the background in the above picture.
The more extreme red color of the Fall Fire is due to the presence of a single red gene, which the sweetgrass does not have.
Besides the fall fire phenotype they will also produce Sweetgrass and a Red Sweetgrass which will breed true.
